Eye Makeup

In different cultures, beauty has been deified typically in female forms. Ancient civilizations worshiped beauty in the face of goddesses like Aphrodite or Venus, Freya and Lakshimi. Over the years, female beauty has been depicted in paintings and sculptures, or praised with lyrics. But, what contemporary people tend to consider as beautiful, or aesthetically pleasing, has probably nothing to do with the notion of beauty other generations shared. Over the centuries, the nature and meaning of beauty has undergone through considerable changes. Even among people of the same age and with common cultural backgrounds, beauty is not an easily defined term. Actually, people tend to agree that beauty is a rather subjective term, which deals with an innate and emotional perception of life's affirmative aspects-health, fertility, goodness, happiness, and vitality-within objects of the perceived world.

Although beauty engenders a sense of positive reflection in finding balance and harmony with nature, whereas the phrase "natural beauty" probably comes from, women choose to emphasize their most distinctive characteristics with the use of makeup, which can highlight their facial features. From Queen Nefertiti, who lined her eyes with black coal to the contemporary female business executives, women have been using makeup to emphasize their eyes' beauty. Being considered the "mirror of someone's soul," the eyes communicate with a unique way and sometimes convey meanings that cannot be accurately articulated. Thus, for the modern woman, who wishes her eyes to make a statement, we have collected the following eye makeup tips that can assist her efforts illustrating her beauty with just a glance.

The first thing a woman should do before applying any eye makeup is to create the right base. In this initial process, a concealer can be used to hide dark circles and create a smooth surface for the rest of the makeup to be applied on. It is better if the tone of the concealer is a bit lighter than the natural skin tone since it will create a much more natural effect and it will blend better. Then, the eye shadow has to be applied in several thin layers and they have to blend well. Experts advice is to put the sheer color on the center of the lid and then with a sponge applicator to spread it all over the lid's surface. It is important to brush it up and out toward the eyebrow or nose. If a deeper shade color is to be used, this has to be placed to the crease of the lid. Additionally, to highlight the eyes, makeup artists use a lighter shade of the same color of eye makeup applied on the lid, now to the brow bone. In order to outline and define the eyes, it is best to use a soft eyeliner pencil and create short, close little dots instead of a straight line on the top and bottom of the eye lids. The outcome can become smoother if the dots are smudged from the inner eye corners toward the outer ones. Finally, for great eyelashes it is advisable to go over the lashes with an eyelash separator comb. Then applying a thin coat of mascara to the lashes and re-comb the ones painted immediately afterwards so as to keep them apart. When they dry the process can be repeated. The final stage of a great eye makeup experience is that of removing the makeup. When it stays on for hours-especially during sleep-it will create a coat of coloring over the eyes and will itch. It is always better to remove eye makeup first, since one has to be very gentle with the eye lids and eyelashes. A cotton ball or swab can do a perfect job after being soaked in makeup remover lotion.

Eye makeup can become a woman's ticket to stares of admiration as long as it is applied carefully and removed before bed every time. Eyes are very sensitive and need to be taken care of as much as possible. Harsh rubbing and being in a rush will not result is astonishing glowing eyes. Thus, be careful and let your eye's beauty shine the room.

Makeup Colors For You

What color family is right for you? Does your skin have cool, warm, or neutral undertones? Let us explore color together.

You have cool undertones if:

Your skin is: pink, rosy, beige, or brown.
Your hair is: a soft shade of brown or blonde, or dark brown or black.
And your eyes are: blue, gray, or black-brown.

You have warm undertones if:

Your skin is: golden or olive.
Your hair is: golden or red.
And your eyes are: green or brown.

You have neutral undertones if you have a balance between warm and cool undertones. Most women have neutral undertones.

If you have cool undertones, then you should choose your eye shadow, blush, and lip colors from the cool color family. The cool color family is your pinks and roses and also includes fuchsias, violets, lavenders, grapes, cherries and wines. Pinks and roses are good for cool to neutral skin tones.

If you have neutral undertones, then you should choose your eye shadow, blush, and lip colors from one of the neutral color families. Mauves and berries are considered neutral. Mauves and berries also include: mauves, berries, plums, burgundies, lilacs, and cranberries. Mauves and berries are good for cool to neutral skin tones but leans more toward neutral.

Corals and reds are also considered neutral. Corals and reds include: peaches, corals, oranges, brownish reds, tawnies, apricots, and all shades of red except for the bluish reds, which are considered cool. Corals and reds are good for neutral to warm skin tones but leans more toward the neutral.

If you have warm undertones, then you should choose your colors from the warm color family. The beiges and browns are considered warm colors and includes: browns, bronzes, golds, mochas, taupes and spices. Beiges and browns are good for warm to neutral skin tones.

Now that you know more about skin undertones, you now have the knowledge to pick the perfect makeup color for your skin. But by all means, if you have cool undertones but are drawn to the warmer colors don’t think this is written in stone. Have fun and experiment with your new colors. Choose lighter or darker shades of your colors to spice things up a bit.

Tips for Radiant Skin

Although there are many skin care products to choose from if you fail to take proper care of your skin all the products in the world won’t give you a radiant complexion. When it comes to a glowing complexion what we put into our bodies and how we treat our skin and ourselves has a huge impact on how we look – no skin care product can overcome certain damage. Here are a few hints to take the best care of your skin and get that radiant glow.

  1. Eat a balanced diet – what we put in our bodies will show on our skin. If you eat fatty foods and junk your skin will reflect that, so give your skin proper nutrition.

  2. Get at least 7 to 8 hours sleep every night. A lack of sleep will show up under your eyes as dark circles or bags. Proper rest will also benefit your body and your life.

  3. Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day to keep your skin hydrated. It is best to spread the consumption of water in small amounts over the course of the day to be sure it is properly absorbed.

  4. Maintain a regular exercise schedule. Exercise gets the blood moving and creates a healthy body.

  5. Get lots of fresh air but avoid prolonged exposure to wind and cold.

  6. Avoid the sun and tanning beds. The damage done by ultraviolet rays is long lasting and cannot be reversed.

  7. Always wear sunglasses to avoid squinting.

  8. Try to achieve a well-balanced life and reduce stress.

  9. Exfoliate twice a week to rid your skin of dead cells.

  10. Develop a skin care routine for your particular skin type.

If you have been neglecting your complexion start right away to improve it – it’s never too late. What you do today will show up in your skin in the future. It’s all up to you.

Your own hairstyle

When it comes to style and beauty, hairstyles are always considered as a prominent factor. Normally haircut, hairstyles and hairdo are described as hairstyling.

Hairstyles of men and women are different from each other and so are from person to person. Hairstyles depend upon the latest trend.

Most of the people change their hairstyles according to the trend and often show their social status while some maintain their same old styles.

Hairstyles mainly depend upon the shape of the face. Basic shapes of face include square, round, rectangle, oval, triangular, oblong, diamond and heart.

Depending upon the shape of face and length of hair, one can go for different hairstyles.

Hairstyle is not about just looking good but it also represents the individuality and personality of a person.

Hair Style

The most important factor that one should consider while selecting a hairstyle is will it suit with the personality or not. One should not select a hairstyle just because it looks gorgeous or is in the latest trend.

The basic notion behind any hairstyle should be to add vivacity and create an effect that could accentuate the best features of the person.

Most of the people find selecting an appropriate hairstyle as a laborious task. As every individual has unique face cut, hair type and hair color, selecting an appropriate hairstyle would require some basic information about hairstyles.

Fine hair has a very soft appearance that can be very appealing. One can add a little thickness to it by giving it slight layered cut. One can also put hair color to give hair more body and make them look thicker.

Course hair gives an overall heavy appearance. The hair cut according to the facial structure is very important and will also help in controlling the hair. Course hair can be given a soft texture and smooth finish by coloring.

Straight hair can be thin or thick but the perfect straight hair is shiny, conditioned and gives an ambience of iridescent sheet of hair.

Curly hair is conceivably the most versatile type of hair. One can give them a straight look with the help of hair straighteners; can adjust the natural curls by using rollers of different sizes, or can simply leave the hair on its own.

For an attractive and alluring personality, one has to have a trendy hairstyle. One can also change the hairstyle according to the occasion.

Mascara

After finding the right foundation shade, choosing mascara is probably the next most challenging beauty task. Sure, there are less color options, but quality of the product is what will make the difference in the way you look.

Volume building, lengthening, clump-free, hypoallergenic… Will your eyelashes look longer, become curlier or fuller? Will the mascara go on smoothly without clumps and stay on without flaking for many hours to come? In other words, will it live up to the promise, or all these words are nothing more than money-making tricks? In most cases, you will know the answer only after you trade your hard earned money for the little pretty tube.

  • Lengthening Mascaras
These usually do make your eyelashes a tiny bit longer. This is achieved by the addition of ingredients that build up on the tip of the lashes. Actually, any mascara will visually lengthen the eyelashes. In most people (at least those who feel they need mascara), the tips of eyelashes are lighter and sometimes invisible. When you apply mascara, you show off the real length of your eyelashes. What a nice surprise! If that is still not enough, a lengthening mascara will help.

  • Volume Building Mascara
If you desire fuller lashes, this is the kind of mascara you need. The effect is provided by the higher concentration of waxes in the formula. They encapsulate each lash, making it more prominent.

  • Waterproof Mascara
As the name suggests, waterproof mascara stays intact even in contact with water. Synthetic polymers, included in the formula, instantly freeze around each lash, creating a water resistant barrier. There is a downside, though. Waterproof mascaras usually make eyelashes pretty stiff. In addition, waterproof mascara will rarely perform for more than 3 months, becoming flaky afterwards. Choosing a mascara that is truly water resistant can also be tricky, and the price is not always the true indicator of quality.

  • Hypoallergenic Mascaras
Hypoallergenic mascaras are formulated to reduce the odds of triggering an allergic reaction. Fragrances are known to be the most aggressive allergy causing components in cosmetics, so they are excluded from hypoallergenic formulas. In some people, ingredients other than fragrances may create problems. Testing is always a good idea to avoid puffy, itchy and watery eyes. Apply a small amount of mascara to the back of your ear. If the area does not get inflamed or itchy after a few hours, the product is safe for the eyes.

  • Colorless Mascaras
Colorless mascaras are designed for weak or damaged eyelashes, but healthy lashes will certainly benefit as well. Sometimes these mascaras are made with vitamins, vitamin B in particular, and plant extracts. They are used as a base coat under color mascara to add length, thickness and volume. In addition, they are great to shape your eyebrows.

Do you need all the different kinds of mascaras? Of course, not. These days, manufacturers try to combine several features in one tube. However, it is difficult to be perfect all around. A mascara may perform better adding length, but not so good at building volume, or vice versa. It may resist water well, but won’t curl as expected. And who needs the perfect curl if it can’t provide the water resistance you need?

Try and error method is probably the only sure way to find a mascara that is right for you and for your eyes, but it may become expensive. Don’t despair. Look at it from another angle: with the ever-changing variety of products, search for the perfect mascara will never be boring.

LIP COLOR MAKEUP TIPS

  • Choose a lipstick, which reflects your personal psyche. There are 48 colors from which to choose in the Sacha range.
  • Use a lip brush when applying lipstick. It will not only help define the contours of your mouth, but also helps to control the amount of color that is applied.
  • Applying powder lightly over the lips before applying lipstick helps it to stay on longer.
  • Use Sacha's Vitamin E Stick under your lipstick to condition and protect your lips from becoming chapped and dry.
  • Use Sacha Lip Gloss alone to give a light, natural but finished look or over your lipstick to enhance its color.
  • For easy lipstick stain removal, apply glycerin to affected area and wash as usual.

EYE MAKEUP TIPS

  • Use Sacha's eye shadows to reflect your every mood. With a bit of practice you can easily master how to apply your eye shadow. When applying eyeshadow, remember that dark colors recede features and light colors highlight.
  • Apply the lightest shade over the entire eyelid.
  • Apply the medium shade on the lower eyelid.
  • Apply the darkest shade in the outer corner of the eye to create depth.
  • Apply eyeliner with short strokes, starting form
  • the center of the eye and working towards the corners.
  • Mascara finishes your makeup. If you have dark eyes use black, navy, dark brown or clear mascara.

FOUNDATION MAKEUP TIPS

  • For a great makeover you must start with the right foundation. Whereas eye shadow, lipstick, and blush accent the face, it is the foundation that sets the tone for a woman's appearance. Sacha's foundations are all yellow-based.
  • If you are like most women, you have yellow-based skin and must wear a yellow-based foundation. Our Sacha Foundations are available in cream, liquid, or dual activ (powder and foundation in one). Test your foundation on the jaw line or forehead.
  • Sacha foundation shades "jump" equally. On your jaw line, apply the shade you believe to be closest to your skin tone. Apply the next lighter shade above and the next darker shade below. The shade that disappears into your skin is the correct shade for your complexion.

Skin Care Tips

  • Clear healthy skin is the perfect canvas for makeup. Use Sacha's simple but effective cleansing routine: Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize, Renew.
  • For excessively oily skin use our Purifying Gel Cleanser to gently wash away the excess oils.
  • Regardless of skin color or skin type you must use a daily moisturizer with at least SPF 15 sun protection. This is one of the most important makeup tips. For dry skin use Sacha's Hydration Plus Daily Moisturizer. For oily skin use Sacha's Hydrating Daily Moisturizer. These moisturizers can be worn alone or as excellent under makeup bases.

Plastic Surgery Clinic Introduces Body Contouring Service in Bangkok

Bangkok Plastic Surgery Clinic Introduces Body Contouring Service

Many people have problems with specific parts of the body that seem to collect more fat than others - thighs, waistline and hips. Exercise can help tone up the muscles, but sometimes some parts remain out of proportion. Dr Pichet of Bangkok Plastic Surgery Clinic suggests liposuction as a body contouring option.

Liposuction is a widely popular cosmetic surgery procedure. Many think that it is a weight-loss procedure that can help them achieve ideal shape easily. Dr Pichet argues that it is not what most people think.

Taking out of large amounts of fat can be dangerous. Those seeking to lose a large amount of fat should consider other alternatives, and once they have reached a more appropriate weight, liposuction can help contour the body.

In fact, ideal candidates for liposuction must be 30% within the healthy weight range; therefore obesity cannot be treated with this procedure. Fat is only partially removed from a certain area of the body while obese people have fat deposits all over their body. Liposuction is ideal for those within healthy weight range with unproportionate parts that they wish to correct.

There are two major types of liposuction - high water injection pressure liposuction and laser assisted liposuction. In wet liposuction, a large dose of liquid is injected forcing the compartments of fat to swell and firm up so the surgeon extract the unwanted fat more smoothly and with minimal bleeding. A laser-assisted liposuction helps to liquefy the fat in your body before it is removed. It is less invasive and damaging because lasers can be fine-tuned to deliver their energy beneath your skin.

Dr Pichet also emphasizes that he would only perform liposuction on suitable candidates only, otherwise there could be complicated results following the procedure.

Liposuction is a simple procedure performed as a day case and it usually take about 2 hours. Before the surgery, the surgeon will mark the treatment area on your body and show you the potential results of liposuction compared with your original appearance. If you are a smoker, you have to quit smoking as it might cause side effects.

Dr Pichet also explains the steps of liposuction. First, local anesthesia or General anesthesia is used, and then liposuction is performed through small, inconspicuous incisions. Next, a tube is inserted through these incisions to loosen excess fat which will be later suctioned out of the body.

After the surgery, there can be fluid retention and swelling. It may take several weeks to months for the swelling to fully dissipate. You will need to wear your elastic garment or bandages for two to three weeks to help reduce swelling while providing the area with support and shaping. Side effects, although quite rare if performed well, might include infection, scarring, persisting swelling and fluid imbalance, all of which can be treated by the surgeon.

"Liposuction is a body contouring procedure, not a weight loss procedure," Dr Pichet highlights, emphasizing that patients should have a realistic goal before undergoing liposuction.

Lipstick - Another Step of Makeup Application

If you want to correct lips that are irregular or asymmetric in shape and create the illusion of almost perfectly balanced lips, it would be easier to do before you apply color to the lips.

To balance the appearance of your lips while lining (before applying lipstick), first, divide the mouth into sections, and work on one section at a time until all the dotted lines are connected. And be aware that matte colors make lips look thinner while shimmery, glossy colors make your lips look fuller.

Make Thin Lips Look Bigger

Eye Shadow Application Tips & Tricks

If you don't have much room between the eyelid crease of your eye and your eyebrow then apply eye shadow using the winged shape (unless there is some sagging).

Winged Shading

Winged eye shadow technique

Looks best where the skin towards the corner of the eye is not sagging such as on younger women because their skin is still firm.

Round Shading

Rounded eye shadow technique

Use when your brow bone markedly curves around the eye and don't use the winged style because it will make any sag more obvious.

Mascara Tip - Another To Concern When Beaty

Cosmetic mascara is used to make the eyelashes look thicker and darker. It is available in neutral shades such as black, dark brown, and dark gray and it is also available in navy, blue, clear and a host of other fad colors.

Most women prefer black mascara because it is a basic neutral color and it works well on almost everyone for most occasions. You can try a shade of brown if you're blonde.

And if every shade you try seems too dark for you, you might benefit from clear cosmetic mascara, which, still lifts and separates the lashes.

Waterproof or Regular?! Black or Brown?!...

Basic Mascara Colors
Red Hair

Dark Brown Hair

Black Hair

Gray Hair
Light Brown Hair

Red Hair

There are two basic types of cosmetic mascara: waterproof mascara and regular. Regular mascara is easier to remove at the end of the day but to remove waterproof, you need an eye make up remover.

Discard mascara within four months of use since bacteria contaminates it and, it also dries out and clumps up. Make sure you apply it when you are stationary (not in moving vehicles) to avoid eye injury.

First Step...Curling Your Lashes!...

eyelash curler

Before applying cosmetic mascara, you may want to curl your lashes with an eyelash curler, especially if your eyelashes are straight. To use an eyelash curler: open the curler, place your upper lashes between the two troughs, close the curler slowly, and hold them in the curled position for 10-20 seconds.

Do not press too hard, it could create a kink in the middle of the lashes. Open up the curlers fully before pulling them away from your eye. Do not curl your lower lashes. Curling your eyelashes will immediately open up the eyes and make them look bigger.

Applying Clumpless Cosmetic Mascara...

mascara wand

Sometimes the wax in the cosmetic mascara crystallizes and clumps up which keeps it from going on smoothly. To avoid the clumps during application, use a thin short wand to get into the corner lashes and always wipe the wand lightly with a tissue before you apply it.

You may apply more than one coat if you want but always allow the first coat to dry before applying the second. You can also apply it on the bottom lashes or not depending on the effect you are trying to achieve. Always take it into the inner corners of the top lashes.

Cosmetic Mascara

1. Hold a magnifying mirror slightly above your face and position the cosmetic mascara wand vertically straight in front of you. Lightly stroke down the bottom lashes, moving from the inner to the outer corner of the eye. Wipe off any excess on a tissue.

2. Lift your chin while looking down, then, starting in the middle of the upper eyelash, apply cosmetic mascara in upward parallel strokes through your top lashes from below the upper lashes combing them upwards, and working your way out to the edges.

eyelash comb

3. Apply a couple coats to the edges. Try blinking on the brush.

4. Look slightly down into the mirror, brush the wand from the root to the end of the uppermost top lashes. Then work diagonally from beneath and, after that, with a straight movement.

5. Use an eyelash comb or a second wand to brush through stuck eyelashes or clumps of cosmetic mascara.

Hey Girl Hilight Your Eye and Give You a More Dramatic Look

Eyeshadows are certainly eye catching. It is fun to experiment with eye shadows, eye liners, pencils, paints, and powders but most women just want to know what is right for them. Too much added color distracts from your eyes, even if it matches your eye color. Choosing your eye shadows to match your lifestyle is a smart idea. There are so many makeup tips and warnings as to how to use your eye shadows.

Be careful with your colors, although you may think blue eye shadow will bring out the blue in your eyes, many shades of blue will actually have the opposite effect. Using eye liner and eye pencils can highlight the sparkle in your eyes. Neutral eye shadows are the best and by neutral I mean soft colors found in skin, browns, vanillas, mauves, beiges or in the subtle undertones of the skin, golds, olives, pale purples, blues, and grays. Neutral eye shadows are easy to work with because they meld well with one another and naturally compliment your skin tone.

A few simple techniques using paints, powders, or an eye pencil can affect the look and shape of your eyes. To make your eyes look closer together apply a light or medium neutral shade of eye shadow on the inner corner of your eyelids. Use eyeliner to draw the line a bit thicker on the inner corner of the eye and stop the line where the outer corner of the eye stops. Applying eye shadows to make your eyes look farther apart is a bit tricker. Tip application begins with a matte shadow in a darker shade stroking it outward and upward on the outer corners of the top and bottom lids. Make it slightly thicker toward the outer edge and extend it in a slightly upward curve.

Eye shadows come in creams, powders, and pencils. Creams are the hardest to control, they can look beautiful but tend to slip into the creases on your lids. Powder is great because you can use it either wet or dry and often make the eyes look softer, more natural. Take care of your beautiful eyes, try out different shades of eye shadows and practice some of the techniques.

Teen Makeup Tips: How to Apply Teen Makeup

1. Develop a skin care habit.

The most essential of all teen beauty secrets is proper skin care. You should make sure that you maintain a good skin and complexion, and form beauty habits that will last you a lifetime. You should always cleanse your skin with the right cleanser to remove oils and makeup before sleeping. It is also good to use gentle scrubs and purifying masks every now and then to keep your pores free. Do not forget to use sunscreen, you need to protect your skin by all means at all times.
2. Brighten up that young skin.

Teenagers like you need not use foundation. If you have blemishes, you can cover them up with concealer. You can use powder or mineral makeup to brighten your skin instead. It is also a good idea to use tinted bronzers on the cheeks, nose, forehead and chin to create a fresh sun kissed look. Always remember to blend and smooth out your face with a good facial brush.

3. Put on some shine in your eyes.

Another essential of all beauty tips for teens is creating a brightening effect in the eyes. This can be done through:

• Putting liquid liner on the outside rim of your lash line.

• Curling your lashes. Do this first before putting eye makeup.

• Using a white eyeliner pencil and applying them on your lower lashes’ inside rim.

• Shaping your eyebrows properly and putting on eyebrow pencil to fill in the sparse areas.

• Putting on a good eyeshadow shade. Pastel colors like pink, light blue and violet looks good on teens.
• Applying mascara to achieve a full eye glamour.

4. Apply lipstick with color that looks best on you.

Another of the more important beauty tips for teens is to never play up both your eyes and lips at the same time. Choose one and focus on it. Keep your lipstick colors fun. Use dark shades for evening occasions but apply a color that complements your eye makeup. If you choose to play up your eyes, you can put on some colored lip gloss.

5. Put some blush on your cheeks.

Choose a blush color that goes well with your lipstick. Smile big then apply it on the apples of your cheeks through an upward direction.

Choose a shade that belongs to the same family as your lipstick shade.

If you are a teenager, never overdo your makeup. Experiment with colors to find what styles suit you best. Follow these makeup tips for teens, come up with your own techniques and enhance a beautiful, natural, new you.

If you have almond shaped eyes, you will have very little natural creasing in your eye lid. The best eye make up style for this is to create a contrast between the eyelid and the brow bone.

In order to do this you will need to use eyeliner to line both the upper and lower eyelids. Keep the line as close as you can to your eyelashes. Next use a light shade eye shadow from your lashes to your brow. Then use a medium shade on your eyelid, and then a darker shade on the outer third of your eyelid. To finish this look apply mascara to both the upper and lower lids.

Close Set Eyes:

If your eyes are close set you will need to try and create an illusion of width. The eye make up style that you use to create this involves emphasizing the outer edges of your eyes.

Start by using eyeliner on the outer half of both your top and bottom eyelids. Then apply a light colored eye shadow from the eyelash line to the brow. Taking your darker shade of eye shadow, you will then apply this from the outer third of the eyelid to just beyond the eyes edge. Finish with mascara on top and bottom.

Deep Set Eyes:

Deep set eyes will normally have a very prominent eyebrow bone and this can cause your eyelids to appear hidden. The key here is to make your eyes look more open.

Again as in all our eye make up techniques, you will need to use eyeliner on both the top and bottom eyelids. Smudge the eyeliner to soften the line. Apply a light shade of eye shadow from the eyelash to the eyebrow line, darkening it slightly above the eyelid crease. Blend your eye shadow at the edges to soften the appearance. This will help to bring the appearance of the eyelid forward. Finish with a couple of coats of mascara.

Wide Set Eyes:

The make up technique for wide set eyes is to make them appear closer. To do this you will to apply eyeliner to both the top and bottom eyelids. Apply a light eye shadow over the entire eyelid. Use a darker shade of eye shadow in the inner corner of the eye lid and blend this up and out. Finish with mascara that is more prominent on the inner corner of the eye.

Round Eyes:

If you have round eyes, you will need to make them appear slightly elongated. To achieve this you will need to apply eyeliner to both the top and bottom eyelids, extending the liner just beyond the outer corners. With your eye shadow, you will need to focus the light color on the outer section of the eyebrow bone making sure that it is brushed outwards. When finishing with your mascara, you will need to concentrate more on the upper lashes and especially the outer corners of the eyes.

Remember the right eye make up can help to add to the beauty of your eyes.

Things To Know For Beginner Make-up

Make-up can either make or break your look, but not everyone is adept at applying make-up and not everyone loves wearing it. To some, makeup is like a foreign country with people who speak gibberish, whereas others embrace it warmly and are seamless experts. Here are some tips on how to apply the basics and what must-have items should be in your make-up bag.

Eyeliner
Eyeliner highlights your eyes and with one swipe it can give you that smoky mysterious look. Often you can change your look with just a bit of eyeliner and lip gloss. Eyeliners come in different colours and each one can define the look you're going for by matching or contrasting it with your clothes. Liquid eyeliner is for the advanced class though as you'll need a steady hand and lots of confidence.

Mascara
Mascara is used to lengthen the lashes. When applying them to the upper lashes do so from the underside of the lid to the end of the lashes. Keep the mascara on the lower lashes to a minimum. The shape of the mascara wand also defines its purpose. A crescent shaped wand will give your lashes more curve whereas a fat wand with a lot of bristles will thicken them.

Eyeshadow
Eyeshadow can be used to subtly change or enhance the eyes. The colour should complement your outfit. The lightest shade should be swept across the entire lid and used as a base colour to the other colours you apply. A darker colour can be used on top of that to create depth.

Foundation
Foundation is make-up magic. It hides your blemishes and evens out your skin tone. It also provides a base for when you're applying blusher and eyeshadow. Have a make-up artist in the shop match your foundation to your skin colour. Also rather test it in natural light than under the fluorescent lights of the shop, or you might end up walking around with your face and neck being two different colours. Experts agree that Mac seems to be the best on the market at the moment, and can be found at Mac make up counters nationwide.

Blusher
The easiest way to decide on your blush colour is to pinch your cheeks and see what colour they are or otherwise match it to your lip colour. Always tap off any excess blush on the brush before applying it to your cheeks. Apply the blush in the shape of a triangle, tapering towards the temples then blending it outwards and upwards. Clinique's range gives off a bit of a glitter shine.

Lipstick
Lipstick is the easiest way to transform your face. When choosing the colour take into consideration what you're wearing and your skin colour. If you have an olive complexion use colours that brighten the skin such as browns or red browns. Deep reds or deep browns work best with dark complexions. If you are pale of complexion you can use almost any colour, a bright red to add contrast or peaches and pinks to warm the skin tone.

Gloss
Gloss adds glamour. It puts a shine on your lips and is the perfect finishing off product. It comes in all kinds of different flavours and shades. Clear lipgloss can be used over your lipstick or you can use a colour on its own for a little informal daytime glam.

Experiment with different kinds of make-up till you find your feet. Don't try to do too much or your face will look too busy, keep it simple yet classy. It's not as difficult as the experts make it out to be, with a swipe of eyeliner and a dash of lipstick you can transform into the fabulous person you are.credit:Women24

We as women tend to spend hundreds of dollars on spa treatments to keep our skin and nails healthy and looking good (even if gas and groceries are super expensive, we still need to keep up with our beauty routines). Carrie Kocik shares five ways to lighten the burden on your wallet; simply look towards your refrigerator for these quick and easy DIY beauty treatments.

Cleansing & Tightening Facial Mask: Slather plain yogurt over face and neck and let sit for 20 minutes before rinsing.

Revitalizing Facial Mask: Mix 1 tablespoon plain yogurt, juice from 1/4 orange slice and 1 tablespoon aloe. Slather over face and neck and let sit at least 5 minutes before rinsing.

Facial Skin Softener: Mix 1 cup plain yogurt, petals of 5 roses and 2 teaspoons talcum powder and apply to face. Leave on 15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.

Hand & Nail Care: Mix plain yogurt with lemon juice and keep in refrigerator. Massage into hands and nails for soft skin and naturally shiny nails.

Make Up for Summer Tanned Skin

Summer is here, so it’s time to update your make-up by following the new trends!
2007 summer make-up trends are all about fresh pink flushed cheeks, metallic eyes (throw back inspiration from the ‘8o’s), bold lips, strong brows, colourful hues from oh la la orange to azure blues and greens.
If it's pretty hard to choose what suits you best, match colors and textures to your skin tone.
If you have a nice tan it worths to show it and glow it!

Sun Touched Skin
Orange and tangerine shades are in abundance this season.
Not all can wear them but for those that can they are a great alternative to the pinks.
Those with golden skin will find that orange makeup will tend to warm and highlight the face like no pink ever could.

How to get the look

Make-up Base: Cover the face with a very light coating of either luminous skin cover or luminous moisturiser - the key here is a natural glow to the skin not a made-up feel!

Eyes: Using a peach toned shimmer powder or loose eyeshadow dip a finger into the shimmer then dab lightly around the eye both on the top and bottom.
The aim is to make it look like a sprinkling of shimmer, which results in a very sexy but simple look.
Apply a little extra shimmer powder on the very inside and outside of the eye to accent it and bring it out and coat your lashes with a brown mascara.
A black will look to heavy and detract from the lightness of the actual eye makeup.

Lips: Using a lip brush first line and then fill your lips with an orange toned lipstick.
To give the lips a sexy sheen pair your lipstick with a coating of clear orange gloss.

Read Me Read My Lips

The obsession of nude lipstick started back in the 60s. Before that red lipstick was the best selling cosmetic product of the entire world and every Hollywood actress was wearing it very red.
Those who dictated the makeup trends were the celebrity makeup artists (especially Max Factor) and since then no natural lipsticks were on market, makeup artist were using foundation over red lipstick to get the nude lips effect.

Elizabeth Taylor and Kim Novak were the first movie stars who made the transition from red to nude lips with style and class.

With the new nude lips trend more celebrities started to wear it, "but actresses like Brigitte Bardot and Julie Christie made nude lips a chic trend", says Richard Dean, Max Factor makeup artist.

That's how nude lipstick has become the perfect accessory for the "just-got-out-of-bed" look (very sexy at that time).

In the late 60s eyes became the main focus of the makeup. The bigger, the darker (tons of black eyeliner and excessive mascara), the sexier and hotter.

The celebrities had the "sad doll" appearence, introduced by Brigitte Bardot and after adopted by Twiggy and Edie Sedgwick.

The first company that created nude lipsticks was Max Factor in 1961 launching the California Sun line, with a dense matte texture.

In our days modern lipsticks contain ingredients like rich, nourishing and restructuring Karite oil ( in all chanel lipsticks), bio-polimers with remarkable hydrating properties and shimmery oils that give a specific shine to the lips.
Today's celebrities are addicted to these nude lipsticks.
From mauve to pale pink, cappuccino, beige or mocca-latte, nude lipsticks are easy to match with all types of makeup.

Jennifer Lopez loves nude and glossy lips.
Eva Longoria wears only mocca-latte shades that compliments her skin tone.
Sarah Jessica Parker sticks to natural with rose-colored cheeks and lips.
Jennifer Aniston picks lipsticks with pink-ish pigments.
Ashley Tisdale is addicted to shimmery lipsgloss.
Charlize Theron adores liquid lipsticks with shimmery particles.
Emma Bunton aka "Baby Spice" prefers creamy pink lipsticks that goes well with her blonde tresses.

Learn Monique Coleman Make Up

Monique Coleman Make up

Monique Coleman’s effervescent demeanor and relentlessly upbeat personality has transformed her into a tremendously chic and gorgeous woman.

This make-up is great for african american girls for parties but definately not for school.

Copy her make-up with these simple steps!

Step 1:

Anchor this frosty look with defined brows.
Fill in brows with a pencil or shadow in a color that's a shade lighter than your hair.

If you have a lighter complexion, choose a shade that's a bit deeper than your hair.

Blend color by brushing it through the brow.

Step 2:

Sweep a golden eye shadow or (any other light metallic shadow) over the lid.

Define the crease with another shimmery tone, such as champagne or bronze.

Put on an additional layer of color, a creamy bronze shadow, and dabbed it on the lid.
Finish the eyes with a coat of mascara.

Step 3:

Create a shimmery glow on the cheeks.
Dab a highlighter on the cheekbones, use a blush at the apples of your cheeks, and blend together.

Step 4:

Apply a bronze gloss or one with metallic shimmer in the same neutral family.

Optional - Red Lips

Brighten your face, dress up your look, and scream glamour.

Step 1:

For updated red lips, combine a matte lipstick with a gloss.

Apply the lipstick first. Set the color with some translucent powder.
Take a tissue and separate it into one-ply thickness.
Put it over your lips and blot powder over it.

Step 2:

Once you've created your base of color, apply a sheer formula over it so that your lips don't look painted on. If you're intimidated by red lipstick and you think it's way too much, experiment with glosses and stains. Stick with sheer colors like ruby or cherry, red glosses are also a nice way to wear red. Mark the lips first with a red pencil, which will make the color long-wearing, and topping it off with a sheer lip gloss in red.
