A Facial Spa Treatment At Home

We as women tend to spend hundreds of dollars on spa treatments to keep our skin and nails healthy and looking good (even if gas and groceries are super expensive, we still need to keep up with our beauty routines). Carrie Kocik shares five ways to lighten the burden on your wallet; simply look towards your refrigerator for these quick and easy DIY beauty treatments.

Cleansing & Tightening Facial Mask: Slather plain yogurt over face and neck and let sit for 20 minutes before rinsing.

Revitalizing Facial Mask: Mix 1 tablespoon plain yogurt, juice from 1/4 orange slice and 1 tablespoon aloe. Slather over face and neck and let sit at least 5 minutes before rinsing.

Facial Skin Softener: Mix 1 cup plain yogurt, petals of 5 roses and 2 teaspoons talcum powder and apply to face. Leave on 15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.

Hand & Nail Care: Mix plain yogurt with lemon juice and keep in refrigerator. Massage into hands and nails for soft skin and naturally shiny nails.

Reduce Sunburns: For quick, temporary relief of mild sunburns, apply cold plain yogurt. Yogurt adds the moisture your skin needs and its cold temperature soothes sunburn pain.
